Dr. Luis Toronjo-Urquiza is a highly experienced biopharmaceutical engineer with a strong background in bioprocessing, pharmaceutical production, and biotechnology innovation. He has worked extensively in biopharmaceutical research and process development, specializing in plant-based pharmaceuticals, monoclonal antibody production, and sustainable bioprocess engineering. In addition to his industry work, Dr. Toronjo-Urquiza is a Lecturer in Biopharmaceutical Engineering at the University of Adelaide and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), recognizing his commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. He has extensive international teaching experience, having taught in Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
