Aim Academics experienced maths tutor, Edward Glasgow, will be hosting Stage 2 General Mathematics Masterclasses these Term 3 holidays.
Edward, studying a Bachelor of Science with majors in Mathematics & Physics, will guide you through your first 10 hours of effective exam preparation (which would likely be the equivalent of 45+ hours on your own).
This course will cover ALL topics covered in SACE Stage 2 General Mathematics, including:
This course will familiarise you with science-based learning and study strategies that will best equip you to maximise your marks throughout year 12. Such skills you will develop throughout this course are guaranteed to promote an in-depth understanding of the underlying concepts, which is essential for approaching test and exam questions with unfamiliar contexts.
In covering the content, you will gain an understanding of the key concepts being tested and effective strategies to approach your test and exam questions to obtain full marks.
You will be provided with test and exam-style questions written for and tailored to this headstart course, as well as comprehensive answers written by an Aim tutor.
This course will be hosted over 5 days in-person at the Eynesbury Senior College Campus on Franklin Street from 9am to 11am from Monday 27th September until Friday 1st October. Online attendance via Zoom will also be available.
Each session will have a duration of 2hrs, making a total of 10hrs of your year 12 preparation complete – and done right.
Before graduating year 12 at Glenunga International High School, Edward had already been offered a job by the staff there to come back as a tutor. Despite his primary job being to assist students with learning difficulties, Edward quickly established a reputation as the “go-to guy” for anything related to maths or physics, and even went to year 12 Specialist Mathematics classes to assist the students there.
Sitting “the other side of the desk”, as it were, Edward discovered that his life-long interest in helping others translated perfectly into becoming a teacher, and he happily picked up a number of private tutoring jobs from students at Glenunga who wanted more of his help.
Whether you’re struggling with maths, or doing well and want to do better, Edward’s helped a student in a similar situation before, and he’s looking forward to doing it again.
