This week’s workshop (6:00 – 7:30 pm) will cover concepts covered in Topic 2 – Managing Chemical Processes.

We will be using concepts of reaction rate, equilibrium and yield to develop a deeper understanding of a range of organic and inorganic reactions – developing our understanding of the fundamentals of reaction thermodynamics and kinetics. 

In this session, we will be looking at the most difficult styled questions of this topic, which are the graphing equilibrium questions! (i.e. interpreting equilibrium shifts from concentration vs time graphs).

We will also be taking a look at some classic examples of ‘compromise’ in chemical industry to deepen our understanding of the important of reaction rate and equilibrium principles in chemical synthesis.
